To be honest, I can’t relate in the slightest to people who say that metalheads are involved in the scene and the music because it’s an anger release. I’ve never been able to connect to that story of the kid who’s pissed at the world so he listens to metal and gets involved in the metal community.

For me, I listen to metal because it’s AWESOME. I love the energy of thrash metal, the morbidity of death metal, the dreariness of doom metal, so on and so on.

I know some people relate to the angry metal type of story, and that’s perfectly okay. I just don’t.
